Don't tiptoe across a cork floor: jump, stomp, run and live on it. In the early 1900s, designers and architects came to favor cork floors when they realized its resiliency and ability to absorb sound meant cork could withstand heavy foot traffic while creating a quiet, sophisticated atmosphere.

To create this flooring, bark is hand-peeled from the cork oak tree using traditional methods developed more than 3000 years ago.  This process does not harm the tree and new bark immediately begins to regenerate.  Earth-concious manufacturing methods include using high-quality, low-pollutant materials, and heat recovery technology that save energy during production.
